/poem/ I should know better.

I should know better, you see
you’ve been through so much more than me
didn’t know what this was supposed to mean
from all the envy and jealousy of you I turned green

You always wanted to sort it out, I didn’t care
you needed me to listen to you, I didn’t care
I knew I didn’t acted smart, I didn’t care
through years I’ve forgotten where I stand
we had a good friendship, I was your friend

I should know better, you see
but obviously I’ve forgotten what you mean to me
I think somewhere in between I’ve lost my self-control
all I wanted to do is make some rock’n’roll

You always wanted to talk about it, I didn’t care
you needed me to stand beside you, I didn’t care
I knew I’ll regret all about it, I didn’t care
through years I’ve forgotten where I stand
we had a good friendship, I was your friend

It’s a lesson I have to learn
to get your friendship back, tables have to turn
hope the shit I’m in is not too deep
it feels like our friendship is a sinking ship

If I want to change; now the time is right
I won’t leave you behind without a fight
no, I won’t leave you behind without a fight
through years I’ve forgotten where I stand
we had a good friendship, I was your friend

I should know better…
