A three-day weekend getaway to the Coastal–Karst Region of Slovenia.
“Fill your life with experiences, not things.
Have stories to tell, not stuff to show.”
Koper – Afternoon coffee in a nice bar close to the sea and a walk along the coast are a perfect choice for relaxation after a busy week. To experience this seaside city to the fullest, do not miss to explore the main square in the old city core.
Karst – Teran, prosciutto, narrow streets, stone houses, lavender, no more words needed. Smaller villages like Pliskovica, Dutovlje, and Kobjeglava conjure up both cultural and culinary fairytale for visitors that like to treat themselves.
Škocjan Caves Park – The magical underground phenomena of Škocjan Caves stands on UNESCO’s list of natural and cultural world heritage sites and is absolutely worth visiting. By the end of the tour through caves, I would recommend not to take the elevator back to the parking area, but to take footpath and enjoy the breathtaking nature.
To preserve and show respect to this natural heritage, it is not allowed to take photos or to record videos inside the caves.
